coolest music videos on teh planet

i've just been enlightened by one of my new favorite blogs, Get Wierd Turn Pro, about this Andreas Nilsson fellow. Some of my favorite music videos by the Knife and Jose Gonzales are by this guy, and I didn't make the connection. His avante guarde style is so great, his films have this almost experimental feel. In any case check out his website: here. The website is pretty awesome, no bullshit just his collection and contact info. So yeah.. check it out... and stuff.

Suggestions:
check them all out, because they are all that good. kthnxbye

whats a girl to do?

Last night I partied hardy for the first time since I got home from Denver. super fun times with all my friends @ SUTRA (11th and lincoln) -- STEP UP v2.0 --mega ups to ((Diverse)), he threw down some of the funkiest freshest tech house I've heard in a long time. He was actually the first DubStep I heard, that fateful night, at the Snake Pit. He never seizes to amaze me. And Ronald Raygunn, got the crowd up and floored with his sick stepps. BANG-IN! I never feel more at home than I do at these events, I'm so glad to be back in Denver.

OK! THIS SONG IS SO ROCKIN' AND THE VIDEO IS EVEN ROCKIN'ER!

Bat For Lashes, my good friend HipHipTorae refered me to this track and I'm totally sick-a-fied. I'm sure future post will include this artist. Def check it out.

sub.Mission4 Blastoff

(photo of and by hipHopTorae)
Sub.Mission.4
The forth installation in the monthly that just gets more and more sick. This Denver dubStep premier brought out San Franciscan Djunya. He brought out a lighter but still thick and heavy dub sound that really made the small downtown Denver, Kazmos, BUMP in the night. Def check out the video and pictures on this one, and if you have not made it out to a Sub.Mish event get your ass out there and shred it up with the best!!!!! Be sure not to miss OSC (Roommate & Antiserum) plus all of your favorite Denver DubSteppin locals at Sub.mission.5!

You gotta watch this video. (Its not all dark just the first 5 seconds) Near the last 30 seconds when Djunya does the final breakdown everyone was going fucking NUTS! Its off-the-hook-dub-steppin-shreddin-it-up!!

ACID HOUSE DOUBLE FEATURE!

DAFT PUNK
(robots in a pyramid who know how to make a crowd of adults cry over their TEKNNOMUSICCC!!)

Something about men in robots suits pumping loud hard acidic house beats and crazy beautiful old school techno-ballads just does it for me. Although the two artists in this double feature definitely get some points for visuals!! Both of these amazing artists use incredibly display techniques to captivate the mind. In other words; make you feel like acid. I had the luck to see Daft Punk at red rocks, I went early with friends and had front row seats to a show that will go down in Denver history. People were going NUTS!!! The vibes were intense and surreal. There was an omnipotent connection with all the people there like nothing I've ever seen at show that size.

Here are some$ pix from the RedRocks Daft Punk Concert. (That also featured French edBanger electro house legends SebAstian, Kavinsky and Busy P) [on a side note: Busy P now manages Daft Punk and the edBanger label]

CHEMICAL BROTHERS

(formally known as the "Dust Brothers" but not the ones that did the fightclub soundtrack, the ones who almost got sued for having the name.)

Ridiculously stunning show last night! I knew I wanted to see Chemical Brothers [at the Fillmore], because they are classic, but I had NO idea what I was in for! Definitely on the top three concerts list. The visuals were stunning and the music was bangin' once again amazing vibes. Through a fuselage of old sounds and modern rhythms Chem Bros were able to capitulate a very original sound. Not to mention the light show was definitely up there with Daft Punk's mind boggling pyramid.

Check this shit out.

sci-fi freq or too many cats?

in case you didn't catch on i'm kind of a sci-fi freq.. but whatever this shit is funny as hell! this show dubs over old badly written sci-fi flicks. ignore the skits between the actual movie part the show is funny as hell but the transitions between are terrible. in any case. heres some links. plez enjoi.

Random Episodes

i've enjoyed almost every one i've seen but here are some suggestions:
go for the ones staring "mike" as the victim... those tend to be a little funnier.

the book was actually written at the same time as the movie, stanley kubric is a genius. instead of writing out a screen play he collaborated with author c. clark to create this amazing masterpiece. plez enjoi videos (1st one feat Halycon On and On by Orbital) (2nd is a short documentary).

edBanger

Ed Rec Vol 1 & 2 ... you want revolutionary sound --french artists of the EdBanger record label (including huge upcoming artists like Justice, SebAstian, Mr Oizo and Busy P) will r0x0rz yr s0x0rz fr sure! all of the artists have a tight grasp on the electro rock revolution, I had the luck to see SebastiAn, Busy P and Kavinsky at DAFT PUNK @ RedRocks (more on that later) --amazing shit.. unfortunately they were only spinning out tracks. Wheres the Live PA?! I wont post any tracks from the actual albums but trust me they are fucking amazing and definitely worth the pocket change.

Mr Oizo's first track ever - transexual is so freakin kitchy. He also wrote the intro song on the promo vid - (first under the title Trina700). SebastiAn's track "HAL"... just listen. The amazing dubstep elements coalesced with the super electro elements are soooo sick and definitely for me was a stepping stone into an all new world of electronic music.

mp3asy:

adult swim. new sho. so good.

Oh man this show is so frekken sweeeet. Tim Heidecker and Eric Weirheim (the masterminds behind tom goes to the mayor) bring you this live action fully retarded skit style show. its comparable to shows like wonder showzen; only maybe not as fruck'd up.. just 10x awesomeness. just watch and let it sink in a little... like soup.

oh my zeitgeist!!

have you seen it yet?

if not you must. its a three part masterpiece. its very political but doesn't feed into conspiracy theory bullshit; and its done in such a way that leaves room for discussion. which i think is very cool. this is one of the most important documentaries as far as relevance to today goes since an inconvenient truth. so i know your busy downloading your pr0n but take a couple hours out of your busy schedule and just watch it.
