some choonz

happy humpday. how about some humps?
heres some stuff you can stick in your trunk.

I've taken a liking to some Boys Noize remixes. They did this one of Feist's My Moon My Man thats especially rockin' you should too. Gonzales has been making his way up the electro stream, this Boys Noize remix is a super-choppy banger.

My Moon My Man - Feist - Boys Noize Dub Remix
Working Together - Gonzales - Boys Noize Classic Remix

Enjoy.

♥land

Big ups on the MachineDRUM show CacheFlowe, it was super bagin'! Gonna try and hit [machinedrum] up for some of those, unexpected, girl-talkesque tracks he threw down.
Got the lovin for some mnml house/techno lately. Its just so sexy and the techno scene in Denver is affluent and full of talent. If you get a chance to check out Uddermaddness or Communikey or Mess (MotherEarthSoundSystems) definitely calender it in.

I've had some amazing artists pointed out to me recently, as I've dug my self deeper into the whompy-beat ridden techno caverns of Denvers underbelly.

AlalaOne! Good god what a fantastic grldj right from my own home town, whodathunk?! Take the time to check out her mix, that I totally don't even know the name of, but I promise you the first track on this mix will roll your socks up and down!! (pending)

Unknown Mix - AlalaOne

Then there's this guy! this guy, hailing from Italy, his name is Andrea Sartori. He'll hopefully be rolling through Denver in the near future, his music is inspiring and beautiful composed, almost hypnotic.

Andrea Sartori - Prima Le Signore (from Il Tagliacode)

I don't know if Nosaj Thing counts as techno, he is one of those artists that are beyond the boundaries of genre. He creates music that could be categorized from melodic downtempo (like Aquarium) to all out Banger Remixes (like the Plastic Little Remix he did featuring MF Doom). I just bought his EP Octopus and I am highly anticipating its arrival.

Nosaj Thing - Aquarium

Heres a Parisian artist, Das Glow that often play sets with Surkin and those other Parisian bangers. I picked these up on ChazOlogy (RIP) last summer, and they still hold a special place in my heart.

Das Glow - Volcanice
Das Glow - Cathedrale

Please enjoy this beautiful music.

In other news:

Check this guy's blog out, I haven't done my research yet, but I'd swear he writes for the Onion. I've been reading it at work and I somtimes can't help but laugh hysterically, raising the eyebrows of the other cube-monkeys. It's so funny, but so true as well! You'll just have to check it out.

pornophonics - new remixer on the block

Pornophonics, whose 'real' name is still laden in mystery, from Buenos Aires (where else?!), has been throwing down some amazing remixes of some of your favorite BANGER artists. Some of these influential rave-rockers include: The Bloody Beetroots, Kissy Sell Out, the Amplid, Does It Offend You Yeah? and some others. Pornophonics has managed to take those neu-lectroey beats and transform them even further, I especially enjoy the Yelle remix of Ce Jeu, it has a slower bpm (beats per minute) but retains it's rocky attitude, brilliant!

+the Bloody Beetroots - Harvest (Pornophonics Remix)+

+The Amplid - Geography (Pornophonics Remix)+

+Yelle - Ce Jeu (Pornophonics Remix)+

Fou et telemement evident/Que je n'trouve plus de sens/A ce jeu excitant/Si bon mais si lassant/Tu aimes me manipuler/Et j'aime en faire autant/Nous sommes tout deux victime/De ce doux jeu d'amants

denver ♥ techno

-TONIGHT-

-NOW-
So EXCITED for this weekend! Tonight = Cobblestone Jazz tomorrow NickSauser, I've been really diggin on the Mnml Techno lately, hopefully I'll grap some cool shots from both nights to share with you guys. (PS IF YOU WANT TO MORE ABOUT THESE CHECK THE SIDEBAR UNDER EVENTS)
but for now
I got a couple sexy techno tracks you just may enjoy.
This first one is, yes, Benny Bennassi, OH NOSTALGIA! For like a couple years ago, I know, but STILL! God, I LOVED this track so much, when I first heard it on 1190 years ago I thought I was going to have babies I thought it was so sick. Stephen Hawking and his girlfriend, being sexy = rawkin, apparently, who'd a thunk?

Benny Bennassi - SATISFACTION (Mowglimix Rmx)

:And then this one which I have been rockin out to all day:

A.D.I.D.A.S. (Koatek Remix)

And If you need something that will last a little bit longer here's the new mix by mikeRobot; I haven't even listened to it yet, but if it's half as amazing as his Decemb

Mike Robot - Can't Stop MIX

i'm gettin' 08tarded

I feel bad i've not posted in a while... and i still haven't paid to get a perm sever up for my shizzle. But all in good time. I've been productive, workin on getting my self a bike, went to the Z00 and saw some polititititititicians! Saw vibesquad play out in boulder and Denver in the same week. Ermazing! I'm telling you people --watch this guy -->shameless VibESQuad shout out right here!!!<-- =cyz hiz sew fkcn sick!= he is probably my favorite producer local to Denver.

BANGIN! In other news. 'Some cool tracks I wanna post fur sure. Hittn up the blog scene. Some cool shiz has been circulating. I hope these give you some good feelings.

hailing from the land of meh-hee-co : Bufi! Don't really know too much about him, 'cept that he plays a m€an laptop. Def gotta check this guy out, he's kind of in the Prefuse 23 wave length, with a touch of funky maybe even Calvin Harris feel. Really cool for sure. The second song (I was recently informed by Bufi himself) is actually by a friend. But they are both amazing and part of a collective called LeTouch
heres
*Bufi - Like a Child*
*Papo Pepo - In Ordem*
*

Rewind>>>>Rain (Interlude)
(from their 2005 self titled album, what was it called? oh prefuse 73)

--

:i think they just came out with a new album:
:this track is waaaaaay bangin def check it out:

--DOes it offend you YEAH!? - se7en--

Some way cool music from the land of Sweden. Rocco is some heart wrenchin' synth-pop, you CAN'T hate this song!! "All Som Inte Dansar" [whose chorus is synonymous with its title] means "If you don't dance You're a rapist," needless to say, I'm totally down.

--Carrie Anne - Rocco--

--Alla Som Inte Dansar (datalife_remix) - Maskinen--

Jose Gonazles album In Our Nature bloomed this beautifully composed cover of Massive Attack. And if you haven't seen the video by Andreas Nilsson you def gotta check that shit out.

**Jose Gonzales - Teardrop**

--- ok enough free music for you.
+Sushi Go Round+

Lets see.. what else... I'm really addicted to this game... it's called Sushi-Go-Round. Maybe its just cuz I'm a total dweeb for cute asain games, but this game is awesome. You make sushi, for hungry hungry asain people! you must master the skills or perish in the land of failed sushi-go-rounds! you may say 'pish' but don't bomb it till you try it. I even created a new tag "starwars was cool" just for geeky outbursts like this.

Hey there guy, like those really neat-o header and footer pics? Iit's from a series of pictures that have been popping up around the internet, inspired by the popular "hands on adventure" Mario Galaxy. Way cool shit, check out some more here if you like : MarioGalaxy Reality : trippin' me out bro.

Ok.... anything else cool... I'll be postin about Otto Van Schirach in a later post here ...

so coo. adios, Enjoy your weekend and live life to the fullest.

cocoRosie stole my heart

American sisters coco and rosie have stolen my My friend mylia mentioned them, and I'd heard some of their music, read a couple articles and dismissed them as just too-hip indie pish posh. but after some careful listening i've really caught the bug and joined the cocoRosie fandom. i'm totally enamored with cocoRosies sampleclad lullabies and obsession with mechanical horse noises.

anyway heres, werewolf from their 2007 album and noah's ark from noah's ark/

>CocoRosie - Werewolf

>CocoRosie - Noah's Ark [!!!]

fao mylia. i hope life is throwing you better bananas right now :)

whats a girl to do?

Last night I partied hardy for the first time since I got home from Denver. super fun times with all my friends @ SUTRA (11th and lincoln) -- STEP UP v2.0 --mega ups to ((Diverse)), he threw down some of the funkiest freshest tech house I've heard in a long time. He was actually the first DubStep I heard, that fateful night, at the Snake Pit. He never seizes to amaze me. And Ronald Raygunn, got the crowd up and floored with his sick stepps. BANG-IN! I never feel more at home than I do at these events, I'm so glad to be back in Denver.

OK! THIS SONG IS SO ROCKIN' AND THE VIDEO IS EVEN ROCKIN'ER!

Bat For Lashes, my good friend HipHipTorae refered me to this track and I'm totally sick-a-fied. I'm sure future post will include this artist. Def check it out.

you like free? i like free.

Free albums from Sudd! And damn good ones at that. This new trend in putting out albums at little or no cost has definitely started to catch on and I'm so happy that producers are starting to break their chains with cooperate thunder dogs like EMI.

The two new albums are compilation mixes. Tracks are separated in the ZIP files.

---SUDD MIXTAPE VOLUME 2 (DANCE EDITION) AVAILABLE HERE---

Features lots of really great euro grunge electro! Includes the sounds of the Bloody Beatroots, Lovely Chords, Lapin, lots of great noises. I am going to highly suggest listening to Guillaume Dégenétais – 200 $. Hey, it's free, what have you got to loose?

---SUDD MIXTAPE VOL 2 (8bit EDITION) AVAILABLE HERE---

If you've got any little place in your heart for 8bit this is definitely an album to check out; it's not the hardcorey gameboy-in-blender-style 8bit. I can't help it loved my game boy too much to pass this up. I'm going to highly suggest at least checkin' it out and looking at tracks like Requiem for Pluto by 8bitBetty with an open mind.

hustlin' h0t fall tracks

*FALLS HIGHLIGHTS*
The Hot Tracks that Are Rocking This FALL.

>$TUNTS - Mr.OizO (Flying Lotus Remix)
This track was originally written by the French producer Mr.OizO. S T U N T S first appeared on Flying Lotus' Myspace a couple months back and I knew I had to have it. It recently became available on Missingtoof and I grabbed it. Can't wait to buy the new EP that just came out "RESET"

>2000007 (feat TTC) - Modeselektor
This seven digit song is featured in Modelektor's new "Happy Birthday!" album. As from "Hello Mom!'s" TTC collaboration with the Berlinise duo, "Dancing Box". They bring together a sound that is all together that is seck-as-shez!

>My Love(RUF Dubstep Mix) - Justin Timberlake
I just picked this one up off of PalmsOutSounds' Remix Sunday. I hope you guys have been diggin on that DubStep as hard as I have. You definitely need to find yourself some good audio to truly appreciate, or better yet be at DJUNYA's upcoming dub-steppin' performance (posted in the previous post chronologically) at Kazmos lounge on 1381 Kalamath this Saturday (17th).

>Dear Miami - Roisin Murphy
When I first heard this track I really fell in love, despite the fact that it is much more "POP" than any of her other tracks. But this track has made a cozy little space for itself in various blogs. And I love that her voice is unique. Its a twinge electro-rock, but also simple and holds ballad qualities. I think it could easily be a movement in future pop. Artists like Amy Winehouse or Regina Spektor are honing in on the recent rage for music that doesn't suck, hopefully Roisin Murphy has a spot in that column. Definitely check out her website, there you can check out tracks from the new album "Over Powered" that has definitely taken a turn from the border-line avant garde, nu-jazzy feel of her last album "Ruby Blue," but still retains the funky charms.

>The Knife - Got 2 Let u
This track isn't new at all. Its from the Knife - "Deep Cuts" their 2006 album. But the knife is just so rad. I've been jammin' on this song lately for whatever reason. So here it is for your listening pleasures.

So there we go. Winters comin' so warm yourself by the warm wobbly bass featured in todays post. Plez enjoi. _Johnnylectric

hatcha & benga: submission 3

(taken by moi)

3rd Sub.mission party, and I've yet to be disappointed. These guys are always bringing out a hot show; Sub.mission 2 included headliners Parson and Ana Sia and was definitely one of the highlights, as far as electronic music goes, for the summer. Unfortunately i missed out on Nick Aragon this past spring, but heard high reviews.

Last night at Sub.mission3 was the Hatcha & Benga show at Benders on 12th and Grant. Hatcha and Benga are some of the key musicians in the recent DubStep movement in the UK (and the US).

Dupstep spurred from South London grime and garage sounds and dub which is a sub genre of reggae. The result; 2-step, long, wobbly bass lines. It is a melodic electronic music that creates a strange sexual tension in its dark, luscious lower bpm [beats per minute].

In Denver dubstep fans tend to be drum and bass heads and/or glitch/whomp [heavy bass line] fiends. There are also many who do not entirely connect with it, because of its heavier, slow pace some fans of electronic music become easily bored by the music, often complaining that it is "too slow." I, of course, am a huge fan, but as it is "different strokes for different folks."

shuffle1

!!SHUFFLE!!
this has become popular in the "blog world"

heres the idea: shuffle tracks on your mp3 player or whatever, when the track appears go on google.com/images (or some other image search engine) and type in the track name - post the first cool picture that comes up in the first page. sometimes you get pretty interesting results. and if your bored and dont really have anything to blog about, like myself, its a great waste of time!

somthing about you (mr oizo remix) - jamelia

i dono who this jamelia chick is, and i was really halvesy on this track when i first acquired it. but i've come to really enjoi it. mr oizo is a beat P I M P! i post a lot of him on here, but its because he's just that freq'n awesome.

song 2 - trash yourself & toxic avenger (redo)

its kind of funny that this one came up because i was thinking about posting it. i'm not a HUGE toxic avenger or trash yourself fan. they are a little too "core" for me. but this redo of the 90's blur classic "song 2" definitely touches a soft spot.

crimewaves - crystal castles vs health

crystal castles !!! if you missed this track the first time i posted it here, its a good time to redeem your worthlessness. this has definitely been appearing in all my recent mixes.
i love this picture too. its so wierd.

ghost transistor - kavinsky

edBanger record's kavinsky's tracks tend to be retrolicious as hell. he has a healthy obsession with 80s backbeats, which is cool beacause I do as well.

arrest yourself - hot chip

i don't really know how this picture correlates with "arrest yourself" at all, but whatever, pirates are freq'n awesome.
hot chip continues to be one of my favorite music groups out there, if you like postal service or james figurine at all they are definitely a band to check out.

simon says (estaw instrumental refix) - pharoah monche

this is uncanny because i was going to post this track as well. i found it on palmsOut Sounds.
i love this breakbeat redo of such a classic.
a actually did the search under "simon says estaw" because "simon says" came up with a advert posters for a lame horror movie, and i feel like this image is more representative of the tracks dark side, or maybe i am just talking out of my ass.

citronella - aesop rock

its a plant... guess i should have guessed on that one.
aesop rock is freq'n awesome. i just missed him at cerventes last night. i'm sure the show was amazing.

now wasn't that fun?

holy modeselektor

WOOOOOOOOOOOAHHHHHHHHSELEKTOR!!!!!
This album is too sick for words.
A masterpiece, as was "Hello Mom!" only in a different way. I cant believe I didn't get it until today. It debuted September 10th. I didn't really hear about it until I was checking out their website just now. The new album ranges from hip-hop, funky house, dubstep to minimal, and so much more. Its really the non-genre unclassifiable sound that makes me so attracted to Modeselektor. A collaboration of BPitch Control artists help to bring this album together. God I wish they would come to Denver! Definitely give this album a check out at the very least.

Plug in some good sound and give these tracks a listen. (Hold on to your head because it just might explode)

from "Happy Birthday!":

>Dark Side of the Sun (feat Pupputmastaz) - Modeselektor
>Suckerpin - Modeselektor

i heard of them first with ladytron here at the denver bluebird. and then they exploded. cansei de ser sexy!!! from sao paulo come super-awesome power pop instant hit group CSS! allegedly named after beyonce knowles complaining: "tired of being sexy." they're great and sooo cute I immediately bought their self titled album, and I have to say its fabulous. Their first big release: "Lets Make Love and Listen to Death from Above" hit america like an abusive mother! and its fantastic. They've done some cool remixes with dope artists such as Spank Rock, Bonde Do Role and Diplo.
So check check check em out.

wub wub wub wub wub

oh frech electro! mmmmmm and krazy baldhead def knows how to throw down those sexy swingin' full note beats. Dry Guillotine is his new album and it is sickety sick sick sick! I first heard him on EdRec vol2 and fell in love with the track "Crazy Motherfuckers" I could not get enough of it! This new cd is like that track amplified over an album. Where as many of the tracks like "applyjuice" and "revolution" have definite dubStep influences the track the album is named after "dry Guillotine" takes a dancier note than his melodic full note tracks like "applejuice" and "revolutions" (the original track not acutally on this particular album)

In any case plz enjoi and def get this album if you do! krazybald head page face

>Crazy Mother Fuckers - Krazy Baldhead (feat on EdRec vol 2)
